‘Molding Progressions Series’ No.6
₹2,000.00
‘Molding Progressions No.6’ is a terracotta vase with a distinctively rough-textured finish. Artfully sprayed iron oxide on specific sections introduces dark speckles, imparting a rustic and aged aesthetic. Following this, a delicate firing with a thin coat of transparent glaze was applied—a juxtaposition of glossy sheen against the rugged textures. The successful outcome of this experimental contrast has become a hallmark in my subsequent works. Beyond its artistic merit, this piece serves as a functional flower vase, where its earthy colours gracefully complement freshly picked blooms.
‘Molding Progressions’ is an exploratory series filled with lots of experiments, trials and happy accidents. This particular series helped me discover and refine my style and a catalyst for my artistic expression captured in my other works as part of the two following series, ‘Emanation’ and ‘Harmony / Spectrum’. Each piece highlighted in ‘Molding Progressions’ has a character of its own, and a story to tell of moments of elation and anguish at every new discovery during this phase.
