‘Molding Progressions Series’, No.1

₹6,000.00

‘Molding Progressions No.1’ is a pioneering creation within the ‘Molding Progressions’ series. This piece demanded a delicate touch, employing the coiling method and meticulous hand shaping. Its closed top posed a shaping challenge, requiring precision to avoid external collapse. The dynamic form, characterised by large bulges tethered by a narrow neck, adds a contrasting allure. The piece’s nuanced beauty is accentuated by a wash of various white oxide values, allowing the natural terracotta colour to radiate, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistry and technique.

‘Molding Progressions’ is an exploratory series filled with lots of experiments, trials and happy accidents. This particular series helped me discover and refine my style and a catalyst for my artistic expression captured in my other works as part of the two following series, ‘Emanation’ and ‘Harmony / Spectrum’. Each piece highlighted in ‘Molding Progressions’ has a character of its own, and a story to tell of moments of elation and anguish at every new discovery during this phase.
