Kapil, a former NIFT fashion design student, discovered a passion for ceramics at Dharamkot Studio in 2020. Initially drawn to handbuilding and jewellery-making, he later embraced wheel throwing, specialising in Japanese-style ceramics. Now a full-time instructor, Kapil embodies wabi-sabi, blending tradition and modernity in his pottery to reflect tranquillity and authenticity. Inspired by Japanese pottery’s rawness, he celebrates imperfect beauty and the transient nature of life through versatile textures and firing techniques.
